B’s Beach House

B’s Beach House is a large, nine-bedroom family home located directly on Muri Lagoon, in Rarotonga, Cook Islands. Sitting on the deck you can hear the gentle rustle of the coconut trees in the soft tropical breeze. Gaze out at the aqua blue lagoon and plan your island adventure or simply relax in the hammock. Use kayaks to paddle around the Muri lagoon and snorkel around Motu Oneroa island which is directly in front of the house. Or stroll less than 10 minutes down the beach to the famous restaurants and bars of Muri for happy hour or a meal out.

The managers at B’s Beach House contacted NZTEC to see if we could build them a new website for their accommodation. We were excited to take this project on and were planning a trip for other work to Rarotonga, so it all worked out perfectly. While in Rarotonga we met with the managers and looked through their ideas, content and images. The fact that they had good material made the project progress very smoothly. Once we arrived back in Nelson we got to work and developed the website using HTML5. We wanted to really show the accommodation from every angle and list each and very facility available to its visitors. While in Rarotonga we took 360 degree photos and integrated these into the website using JavaScript. In the end we developed a website which is informative, modern and has been a real asset to the business. They quite often send the link to those who inquire through other booking website so they can see the accommodation in more detail. This has reduced the number of cancellations once clients have arrived because they feel they know what to expect and don’t feel cheated by trick photography, photo shopped images etc.
