How much will my website cost to build?

This is a very good question and the one we get the most. The answer is, it depends on what you want and how long it takes us to get there. Not all websites are the same and not all clients come to us at the same stage in the development process.

The best answer I can give is that we cost $80 per hour plus GST. A simple website can take 15 hours and a more complicated website 40+ hours. Best to get in contact with us direct and we can look at your web design project and give you a more accurate quotation.

How long will it take to get my website online?

The next most common question we get. It really depends on what other projects we have on at the time, the complexity of your website and how long it takes to collate all your content, information and images. The faster you can get your information to us the faster we can put your website together.

You don’t need all the information to start your design, but the more you have the better. If you already have hosting then we will also need access to your Hosts control panel so we can upload your new site once it is ready to go live.

What are your month fees?

The great thing about NZTEC is we don’t charge monthly fees. We should! All the other web design agencies do and this is how they make money from their clients. At NZTEC we only charge you an hourly rate and only when you use our services. We also charge part hours for work. If it took 5 minutes we charge you five minutes. Simple really.

Can you modify my existing website?

Depends on how it has been built and where it is currently being hosted. If we can access the files on your web host then generally we can make modifications to your existing website. We have experience with WordPress, HTML, CSS, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Joomla and other platforms. If you need changes made and are not sure where to start then contact us and we will take a look for you.

We are not in Nelson, can you still build a website for us?

NZTEC have built a large number of websites for clients outside of Nelson. The only benefit clients based in Nelson get is we can meet face to face. With technologies such as Skype,  email, dropbox, etc we have been able to offer the same great service to national and international clients that we offer our Nelson clients. The internet has no boundaries.

We don’t really know what we want?

Many clients come to us right at the beginning of the website design process. We can help with advice on domain names, web hosting, email setup and design aspects. Should we have .com or .co.nz domain name

If you target audience is in New Zealand then you can’t really beat a .co.nz domain name. If you want to target the international marketplace then a .com address would be better suited. It personal preference really but you have to be aware some of you potential clients may not trust a .com address as much as a nz relate domain name.

Why is my website not showing in Google yet?

There are many aspects that help Google determine your index ranking. Keywords in your text is still the number one factor to climbing google. If your keywords do not appear on your website then you cant expect to rank with them. You also have to realise your website may have only been on the internet for a few short months.

You are competing with websites that may have been online for 10 years and built up a large number of keywords and links to other websites. You cant expect to arrive and 5 minutes later be at the top of the list. Unless you offer something really unique. At NZTEC we build the best SEO optimized website we can.
