Muri Garden Lodge

Muri Garden Lodge is situated in the foothills of Muri but still only 300 meters from the lagoon. It sits amidst a tropical garden that even by Rarotonga’s standards is exceptional. The garden is full of lush rare flora and fauna collected from around the South Pacific. Did I mention the pool? There’s a gorgeous pool, and its deep and big.

The house itself is made up of three separate apartments which make it ideal for large families, wedding groups and groups of friends wanting to escape. There are three apartments which all have their own private entrances, ceiling fans, outdoor area, TV, stereo, and cooking facilities. In total the whole facility can sleep 14 people. There are also two communal areas, one upstairs on the verandah, and the other by the pool and BBQ.

The Muri Garden Lodge website was a new build and was created using HTML5. All the images used on the website were taken by NZTEC. We used a professional DSLR camera, drone and 360 degree camera to capture the images we used in the end. Being based in Nelson and the accommodation being located in Rarotonga much of the development work was done using email. Once we have the content and media from Rarotonga we set to work creating the site layout, style and pages. The 360 degree photos were loaded into the Theta system and embedded into the pages using JavaScript. The main idea was to showcase the accommodation from as many angles as possible and to list all the facilities and features it had to offer potential visitors.
